David,

Whilst I obviously appreciate the clubs' position on updates for the New Mem project is to provide news as and when it is appropriate, many Gasheads are obviously a little alarmed by the statement on the Horfield ROSE website that the club has provided no updates in over 6 months on discharging any of the planning conditions, and that the company employed to manage the stadium redevelopment is no longer working on the project.

Given that this update is now in the public domain, can the club at least confirm or deny these statements. I appreciate that updates on funding etc are unlikely to be issued until any commercial negotiations are complete.

Thank you.

Nick has already stated that the project is held back whilst issues around funding and leases are negotiated. This is taking longer than we would want but times are diffucult as you appreciate. Until the details around leases have been agreed by all parties it could be a waste of money spending time discharging planning conditions of which the remaining ones will be relitively easy and quick to resolve. In respect of our project managers they are still engaged but until these matters have been resolved there is little point in expending more money on fees so the statement from Horefield Rose is misleading.
